n 1934 Nate Levin the top executive at Mascot pictures read one of the Adam Zero short stories and thought it would make a wonderful Saturday morning serial. All preproduction was finished on the film and it began filming just as Adam Zero Magazine was selling out. Sadly Mascot pictures was massively in debt and was foreclosed on. Its state of the art facilities which were considered the best of the era were consolidated with two other studios and Republic Pictures was formed. But having been burned by the sudden closing of the studio Marc decided to not allow Hollywood to film his creation. So the Saturday morning serial was never created. Marc was able to keep much of the preproduction work but the film that was produced has been lost. The Adam Zero Serial was never finished.
