New Interview
Anthony good to see your keeping yourself busy. We
hear you have a new
book coming out from Atomic Pop Art called The Supremacy, tell us
about it?
The
Supremacy is a 5 issue series, written
by Peter g, penciled by Dwayne
Biddix and inked by Rob Lansley, who are all part of Harway Studios.
The story takes a slightly skewed look at the superhero mythos and
the
concept of good and evil, and what it really means to be a "good
guy" or a
"villain". A lot of the standard hero conventions are tipped on
their head in this
book. And when the character "Obsidian" enters the picture, all hell
breaks
loose.
So what sets Pulsar apart from your average hero?
Pulsar truly wants to be the idol of the people, and get the
plaudits and
recognition for his deeds. Yes, he's a hero, but it comes at a
price. What that
price is will be revealed as the series unfolds.
What else can we expect in upcoming issues?
Lots of action, plot twists, and nasty things happening to nasty
people. Oh,
and lovely colors...
Did you have a hand in deciding the color scheme for the
characters in
this new series?
Apart from Pulsar, I was given free reign over color schemes. It's
a
refreshing atmosphere over at Hardway. Everyone trusts everyone else
to do a high
standard job. And we're all having a ball on this one!
We also hear your going to be writing a backup or two for
Marshal
Tyme. How did that come about?
I just suggested a really silly premise, and it got the green light.
And I
think that's going to turn out well. Again, surprisingly free reign
in the
writing and I even get to introduce a new character.
What is your take on the Marshal Tyme character, do you think it
lends
more toward sci-fi or western?
I wrote it as a western with a bizarre subject matter. Seemed to
work for
me!
Do you have any ideas for future Marshal Tyme tales?
Oh, yeah. A Napoleonic invasion story, and possibly a famous horror
character. But that's al just taking shape in my head at the moment.
I have it on good authority that your also working on an Adam
Zero
short. The first tale you've worked on with the character. How are
you
finding coloring a future world of aliens and spaceships?
I love it. I freakin' love coloring! And, to me, the more variety I
can get
in my work, the fresher I feel. I do a horror book one day, then
cowboys, then
Norse gods, then aliens and spaceships. Come on... what grown man
can claim
that..?
Between The Supremacy, Brat-Halla, Marshal Tyme and Adam Zero. How
do
you do it all?
Don't forget "The Simian Standup". Or "The Corps". Or "Project:
Dreamtime".
Or my commission work. Usually, I just curl up in a ball in the
corner until
the panic goes away, then fire up Photoshop again. :)
Anything else on the horizon?
Apart from that mentioned above, there is one thing... but I can't
discuss
it. Ooh...
One last question we hear you've added chipmunk assassins to
your ever
growing army with plans on world domination, any comment?
THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER! (sound of Anthony pushing chair back,
ripping off
mike and storming out of the room)
*barely audible* Agnes..! Fire up the death ray!
